Initially, Rajesh used to buy small scale jewellery from Chennai and sell it in Gujarat. After some time, when he got success in this work, he expanded his business, in which he started selling jewellery from Hyderabad to Chennai.
The biggest turning point in Rajesh Mehta’s life came when he stepped into making gold jewellery in the year 1989. Rajesh set up a small Gold Manufacturing Unit in Bengaluru, from where he used to sell gold products all over the world and today the same small manufacturing unit has turned into Rajesh Exports, whose valuation has reached Rs 13,800 crore today.
